freaking out need help!!!!
 

i am stuck on the white htc screen on my evo
i tried to root my evo followith these step at

i am new to this so then by my stupid mistake i
tried to load this rom

now it wont get past the htc evo screen

im freaking out
please help me

Have you tried wiping data and all cache and reloading the ROM?

So you did the entire root process? What was your last step?

h his last step was crying like a baby. haha. just kidding hope it doesn't happen to me when I do it.

i was in the black recovery screen, i choose Flash zip from sdcard, then choose the custom rom which gave an error. then i rebooted and never went past that screen.........

what error?

after you rooted you did a nand backup right?

I'm assuming you still have access to the loader part by powering the phone off, then powering it back on while holding the vol down button right? If you do, place a PC36IMG file in root of your SD card. (you'll probably has to remove it from the phone and put it in another phone or micro sd card reader in order to do this), then let the phone read it and update to it.


*****If that doesn't work, take it back to Sprint and tell them that their recent OTA bricked your phone, they'll give you another one.

The link for the rom you say you loaded is for the Motorola Droid on Verizon.
Is that really the rom you tried to load?

Same thing I noticed.. My thinking is hopefully this isn't what you tried, as this is not an EVO rom..
