i was just thinking the same thing, there used to be an audio boost .cab you could install on windows mobile phones from HTC, but i dont know if there is an android version of this install yet, hopefully someone can chime in on this

The only one that I have seen is Louder Volume Hack 3.4 (latest) and it is in the Market. However it is not free ($2) and requires you to be fully rooted to work. Although, I have used it on my Hero and EVO and it does work nicely.

is there a way without being fully rooted? I have unrevoked but I dont think thats fully rooted

Food for though... while looking for new ringtones I found a few loud and high freq tones and now I have a blown speaker.... I don't think the Evo speaker can hang with extreme volumes

i was wondering this too, i tried the volumehack (ver. 2.0), but it does not work in the stock rom with unrevoked. I'm rocking the stock Rom, there's very little reason to get custom Roms on this puppy! runs fast as it is.
