disk drive is not coming up
 

i have my phone connected to my pc butmy disk drive is not poping up 4 me to put any files on my phone.. is there anyone that can help me or who had the same problem?

When you connect your phone to your computer and the menu comes up asking you how you want to connect your device (i.e. Charge only, Disk Drive, etc.) are you selecting DONE afterwards? If you don't, the command will not be executed.

Menu/Settings/Scroll down to Connect to PC/Enable "Ask me"

I've also found something interesting, and this method has worked for me now on both the Hero and the new Evo... At first I considered this a glitch, but it has come to be convenient at times. If the SD card has been formatted via the phone, the phone menu retains control of the usb connection. I formatted the cards from the pc via the usb connection, and now, regardless of how I have the phone set, the sd card auto-plays whenever I connect. If I close the autoplay window and then select charge only from the notification menu, then it will just use the usb for power, but if I dont do anything, the sd card remains available to the pc, even though the phone is set to default to charge only. Again, this is only happening with the 16gb card i formatted from the pc, the 8gb that came with the EVO does not do it, nor does the original 2gb for the Hero that were both formatted from the phone menus.

when i conect it to my pc the menu doesnt come up on my phone. and i have that ask me when i connect checked. its like it doesnt know its connecting to the pc its just charges while on the pc

I had same problem, are you using win7? (32 or 64 bit)? I unplugged my phone and restarted windows. Then reconnected the phone.

i tried to restart my pc that didnt work.. does anyone have the driver for the phone to install on the pc maybe its that? idk

Yeah that's what I am running. Sorry all I can tell you is shut down both your pc and phone (power down). Start pc...start phone try to connect. You also might want to try on another pc after restarting your phone...maybe its win 7.
