sd card won't mount after data wipe????
 

so I just did a data and dalvik wipe, but now I can't flash anything because its saying the sd card won't mount. so my question is am I going to brick or destroy my evo if reboot back into recovery to see if it remounts?

Just to clarify, it's ok to power off then back on into recovery with the sd card not mounting right?

RIght, I had the same issue where it would not mount.. The SD Card fix will cure that.

I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I'm doing with android, so just to be sure. Do I need to download the sdk or do it from command prompt? I have no idea what I'm doin here.

You need the sdk to issue those commands so yes do download the SDK

yes i just went threw this and u need the sdk and if your usb messes up use terminal emulator
