cant get pc and phone to sync using newest sync version too

running windows 7 64 bit

just says unable to find htc sync on you pc.

I was just about to ask this question too since im trying to root my phone after i root it an need to do the recovery i need SYNC access but i cant get the PC an the phone to recognize. I just installed the newest sync from HTC.com an still no luck either...help people tryin to get this root finished..Thanks

will yea and no...

i couldnt get it to work on my puter i used my girls laptop and it works
she runs windows 7 64 bit premium and i run windows 7 64 bit ultimate

so its either my os or i have a software conflict i need to hunt down..

im still looking in to it

i couldnt finish nand unlock wouldnt sync back up..

the simple root worked with out full sync only bad thing about this one cant make nand back up

I never once opened HTC Sync software to root my phone. The only reason you need to install the Sync software is for the driver support. Just leave the phone in 'Charge only' mode and you shouldn't have any issues. If you have the card mounted, you'll run into issues though.
