Inconsistent GMail Push Notifications

For most of the day I have not been receiving push GMail on my EVO. I have to manually sync in order for the mail to be delivered. I have not added any applications today and the one I added yesterday (Yammer) I deleted and also power cycled the device.

I have all of the background and data sync selections check on.

Any suggestions to fix this?

do you have a task killer installed? or maybe turned off gtalk?

Yes, I have ATK, but I have had it installed since day 1. I also don't see GMail in the program list in ATK
