using phone for gps access
 

I was hoping to use my phone for it's gps ... wireless linking to my iPad so I could use an app I have. Does anyone know of an android app that can do this. I don't want to pay for using the hotspot.

... you have the evo use google maps... or root the evo and get free wireless tether. or just return the ipad and use the evo that works to

GPS ... have a cool app that does marine maps and would like to have gps. i looked at the marine map on android, it's not as capable plus the ipad has a gorgeous 10" display

So you want to use the EVO GPS like a virtual serial port... I'm pretty sure that information can only be sent over the USB port and not over wireless.

Yeah, turns out gps doesn't work over wifi even through hotspot.
