Re: Upgrade to Rooted Froyo, absolutely crappy battery life

LED Light is a 3rd Part App from Market Place. You don't need it because 2.2 comes with a built in Flashlight.

That 10% drain was addressed in other battery best practices.

2. When you say LED light is that a third-party application or the stock LED settings for this device. I turned off all LED notifications and still see a pretty big battery drain, almost 10% in about 10 minutes.

Why? What do you know about "that kernel" that everyone else who's used it and says it's great doesn't?

Plus, if it doesn't work, you can always flash back to the standard kernel like I did yesterday when I had an issue with the 3 vs 8mp camera.

I've heard this since 2.1 that NOT using a task killer is optimal. That the act of actively killing tasks is also draining battery as this is always open. it's not whack-a-mole like popping up, killing apps, and shutting back down. Instaed, apparently these are always left open in the background.

Yep...another battery life after froyo thread

This is why I said if your battery life is terrible after froyo then you almost definitely have a rogue app thats keeping your phone awake. After I found and removed all of the rogue apps this is what kind of life im getting. And this is with sync ON.. bloo for facebook with live notifications & chat running... didnt use the phone a lot today but this is just to prove a point since I said id post some screens when I got home. Now just imagine what itd be like if I had sync OFF...I didnt use the phone a whole lot today other than fring, tapatalk and meebo on breaks but you get the point.

No task killers... no overclocks... no custom kernels...stock froyo update.
