Re: Two versions of Evos

I have 003 and the only thing that concerned me without visiting PPC first was the battery level dropping extremely fast. So fast that it was odd to me.

So I read up on the multiple charging (plug till green, unplug, replug after light turns off and repeat until light stays green) and since I've done that cycle, no problem with battery.

You guys may find this interesting but both devices have a hardware version of 003 despite the cases and batteries being obviously different so I am not sure if this is a good key.
it's not a good indicator. i have a 0003 version, but the back is the same as the one in this thread marked to be a 0002.

Re: Two versions of Evos

I have a 02: Has light leakage (screen lifting), has the screen grounding issue, buttons don't light up as necessary, battery sucks at home with poor signal, but didn't move a bit in 9 hours at work today (first day back to work in a week). Have an excellent signal at work. I still love this phone, and am confident when updated hardware makes it's way out, sprint will take care of me.

Re: Two versions of Evos

002 here. no white light leakage between the screen and housing, but orange light directly under each soft key when lit. Anyone else???

Poor battery life at first. The CDMA auto change didn't seem to do much. The charge on/off, red light/green light did seem to do the trick. I had to do this 3 times each until the light was green when the charger was first inserted.

Fully charged at 8:30 am. Periodically checked email accounts, checked craigslist, surfed forums on tapatalk, few texts, couple of 5 or so minute phone calls AND used 4G hotspot for ~30 minutes. Battery life was at 83% by noon. Not bad. Or is it?

FYI...not rooted, no over/underclock, ATK autokill every 30 minutes.

Re: Two versions of Evos

002 here, & was about 2 say no light leakage till i cut off the lights in my office & saw it on the lower right side, never noticed outside after sundown. i can tell the battery runs down quick, but i'm always playing on the phone through out the day so i have no clue how long it would last. i had the issue were activating the gps would reset the phone until i did hard reset.

Re: Two versions of Evos

i have the 0002 as well, no screen lifting/leakage, battery is on par with my tp2 under heavy usage which is my normal usage, but it does reboot when i turn on my GPS and immediately go into maps/nav. thats about it. this phone is still amazing
