Help with adb push and pull
 

Hey guys, I am coming from a Hero to the Evo, I never had any problems pushing or pulling apps from adb with my Hero but I just cant get it to work with this Evo. I am rooted and using a custom ROM. When I go to remove apps Im getting failed-read only file. Can someone school ,e on what Im doing wrong?
This is what Im typing:
adb shell
mount /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
cd /system/app
ls
rm Stock.apk
rm failed for Stock, Read-only file system

Any help is much appreciated

Nevermind everyone, I figured it out, finally after a day i found searching more that you have to be in recovery mode.
