Its not likely the SD card. i have 2 evos, i swapped my sd cards and it didn't make a difference. On 1 evo the pics are perfect, on my other 1, no matter what i do, no matter where the pic comes from, when I set it as a contact photo its fuzzy. I messed with the cropping and no luck. I have no pics synced with Gmail. Can any1 tell me why the 1 evo is good and the other fuzzy?both pics properties read exactly the same.

Remember that you have to have 2 contact entries for the same person. 1 with the photo only and the other with no photo but all of their information. Then link the two.

What really sucks is that when I first got my phone the pics looked great, now since I replaced my phone the pics look like crap. They are all Facebook links btw.

Finally success. You must "unlink" the contacts phone vs google. under people/view make sure all lists are selected. then remove all contact pics under each listing. after all are removed and each listing "unlinked" then add a photo from the gallery(or take 1) and add it to your PHONE contact only. do not add one to your gmail or google listing. this worked for me.

You will have to unlink your contacts from Facebook and their original high res pics will return. Once you link them to FB, it will update their picture with facebook's.

Yea, unlink them all together. i never had mine linked to FB. but they were linked to my gmail(even tho i had no pics in gmail) It's obvious that something is done thru the linking process(no matter what the "phone" list is linked to) go into your "people app"/hit menu/view make sure you check all lists that are available (phone/google/FB etc), then go into each contact (there will probably be dupes, do NOT use a photo for each dupe)delete all pics, then go back in and unlink all contacts that have dupes, then reset 1 photo per contact name.blurriness should be gone.

Another method if you don't care about syncing contacts with Google or use another program.

uncheck sync contacts

If you add the photos from Outlook, will it still work, or do they need to be put in the gallery, or folder on the SD?
