Come Test Youtube Quality! Watch and Vote

There is a thread proclaiming poor youtube quality. I want everyone to stop and realize that unless you are playing a good quality vid, which on youtube is actually kinda hard to find. Again to make this test as accurate this is what I suggest. I think everyone should play the same youtube video, because with the same resolution per bigger screen, anything with less quality will look better on the TP2. Like someone lower posted, smaller screen=higher quality

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S14YEyiIe3If - hd video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdndTE8ZFig&feature=pyv&ad=5785243309&kw=a nimation - hd animation
Take both into account when you vote, try to average

Everyone try these vids, at high quality, and with each phone's best settings turned on. 4G EVO hq, and 3G TP2 hq. Try it out and rate the EVO 1-10, 1 being wtf is this vid and 10 equaling a computer. (Please watch it on the computer to compare to)

PLEASE EXPLAIN YOUR VOTES
1. Can't tell what's happening
2. Slightly better, still garbage
3. Begin to make out details
4. Details visible, but like a dumbphone camera
5. Decent details and ok everything else
6. Moving into normal non-hd video quality
7. Better than 6, but not quite at the HQ of 8
8. Can see the defined, good quality of the vid
9. Pretty damn good, just needs a little improvement
10. It's like you're there - as good as you can get it, computer-viewing quality

It looks really good on the phone actually there is no buffering on the phone played nice and smooth I wish I could output to the tv to see what it would look like.

I don't think you can, just watch it in the best quality possible as the baseline.

Well, looks GREAT in 720p in the computer. On the Evo, it's pretty clear, but definitely not great (HQ). The TP2 has more clarity and definition, but the Evo's colors are much better.

I don't know what's going on, because that video didn't look too fantastic on the Evo, but I've seen other HQ videos that are very clear streaming on YT on it.

That was a fun experiment. If I get a chance, I'll record the test in high definition and post it on youtube.

I had my EVO, TP2, laptop (14", 1440x900) and HTPC (connected to 60" Sony 1080p LCD) playing the clip in sync. Without being overly critical and the reality that I did not gamma match or color correct all the displays, I'd simply say that there was very little difference (yes the TP2 looks as good as the EVO), they all looked very good.
One thing that did bother me a little was that my EVO paused (to buffer) three times for over a minute each time over 3G and the TP2 never paused. When connected to WIFI it had no problem.

I was VERY DISAPPOINTED when I connected the EVO to my tv with the HDMI cable, it is only 480p and did not come even close to the quality of the HTPC. :-(

Why dont people get that the only reason it has a finer definition on the tp2 is because the screen is smaller? simple logic i would think

So with a few screen captures from the supplied video on the Evo and on my computer, I have these results. All samples are 800x450 pixels to create the same effect across the board; the Evo samples are not scaled, the 360 samples were upscaled a bit, and the 480 samples are downscaled a slight bit.

The samples...

Conclusion: "HQ" quality on Android YouTube < 360 quality on a computer.

Why not just let us stream 480p quality to fit our screens resolution???
