Is anyone elses stupid alarm not going off?
 

I don't know whatis going om but my alarm never seems to go off. I set it the day before and then instead of waking up an hour before work I wake up five minutes before workand its friggin annoying. Has anyone else had the same issue or can anyone just el me that I'm an idiot and teach me I'm the ways of the SenseUI alarm?

I had the same problem the first time I used the alarm... turns out that you cant just click the back arrow after setting the alarm. You have to click done, in order for it to set... try it out now if you can and see if im right.

also if your using a task killer make sure the clock/alarm is on the excempt list or it wont work either

r u using the alarm function within the clock? also do u have other processes running that might interfere? android task killer does a good job listing apps/processes running and allow for killing of processes. Free in the market.

check with that first....and see

Is Android stable enough to use as an everyday alarm clock (assuming I don't use a task killer)? Coming from the WM world this was not an option.

i feel it is, i have used everyday with a task killer since the device came off and as always worked without giving me any issues... if you dont use advanced task killer or another task kiler than you should be good to go otherwise like being said add to exclusions list and that should fix the error.

I have used mine as my alarm and it has worked every day without a hitch. Snooze is defaulted at 10mins, where WM was at 5mins.

Has worked great for me so far, and I never had any issues with my alarm on the TP2. Woke me up every time I didn't want it to.

Yea im sure your using task killer, cuz "clock" doesn't crash. i had this was my problem Monday morning, but today i was fine cuz i put the clock app on the ignore list on task killer last night.

Oh and FYI, u can set the snooze time to shorter or longer times by hitting the menu button within the alarm options. pretty cool.

Cool...i feel better now..thought was the only one...this great to know..now i feel alot comfortable using the clock..look soo cool too..desktop mode

Same thing happened to me, I also am using ATK. you must uncheck the clock app in ATK and it'll work everytime.

I use open alarm works fine for me. And I don't use atk to automatically kill apps I do it manually on when needed. I have not had a problem so far. Every once in a while with winmo it would crash or hang or just not go off so I know what you mean it sucks when it does glitch.

this is the 2nd time it happens to me. i have my alarm set, sometime during the day my weather disappears by itself, then it resets the alarm tone and the alarm wont work.
any idea why my phone clears the weather and resets the alarm tone?

Might check into 3rd party alarm apps, I personally have grown fond of Kaloer Clock, it reminds me a lot of G-Alarm, and has it's own alarms. http://www.appbrain.com/app/org.kalo...re.kaloerclock

i saw a youtube video yesterday concerning this issue. Once you've set your alarm, you then have to leave in "desktop clock" mode.

Make sure you have it set to ignore weather and clock when it kills. I tried the other 3rd party alarms and couldn't get any of them to work right for me. The stock one works fine now that I excluded it from killing and I do not leave it on desk clock at night, just regular home screen.

Never heard this, and doesn't ring true for me. I use mine for daily alarm, and it just works. No need to be in desktop clock mode on either of my Android devices.

Pull up the ATK app, press and hold the app on the list you want to ignore until the menu pops up and hit ignore. If you have already killed them and they aren't on the list, just restart the phone and repeat the above steps for clock and weather.

OMG!! I thought i was the only one having this issue. I was almost late to work 2x because of this. Thankfully though my trusty xv6800 with WiMo 6.5 went off and woke me up.

I set my Clock on the Evo to Ignore and will see how it works in the morning.

That should work. I have Calendar in there too, because I use it for meeting reminders. Set an alarm for 5 mins from now and test it.

This is not cool..I've been late to work because my alarm is not going if in the morning. Ill test the alarm during the day and it goes off fine..can anybody tell me what could be the problem? I don't use ATK

I use my alarm every morning with no problems. I keep it in airplane mode.

Well sense i have added the clock to be ignored by Advance Task Killer, I have not had any more issues.
