Reboot?

I am coming from a laggy TP2 where reboots were basically necessary on a daily basis. So my question is when if it all is it necessary to reboot the evo? It is running very smooth and I have zero complaints but should I be rebooting it on schedule like once a month, once a week, or something?

Re: Reboot?

i don't think you have to reboot. maybe if it starts slowing down a little later in the work week and u don't use advanced task killer. it's always good to give a device a refresh every once in a while even if the os doesn't need it like winmo.

Re: Reboot?

Is there an app out there that will do a simple reboot? Or are we stuck with powering off and back on?

Re: Reboot?

Reboot apps only work when rooted.

Re: Reboot?

Mine has been on since 7am last Friday and I havent rebooted not once.. and its still blazing fast. See thats one thing Android wins over winmo with everytime. The system constantly cycles itself without having to reboot to get back memory or speed. Even though I havent rebooted its still as fast now as it was then.

Re: Reboot?

Yeah, I've only had to reboot a couple times. Once when Sprint screwed up my account and I needed to restart and get data working again, and the other time was when I removed the battery to install my Ghost Armor. lol

You will never have to worry about rebooting.

Re: Reboot?

I was looking also looking for a reset app but with ATK installed I found it unnecessary to reboot. I think WM devices got us trained that we need a reboot app lol.
