Re: weather on the home screen

I had the same problem...background data sync was turned on...turned on gps....still no go...finally booted up google maps...then hit refresh....it kicked in immediately. Btw...time and location set for automatic...tried manual...no dice.

Doesn't matter where you click when it says what his says. It will go to the clock. He has no weather to click.

Re: weather on the home screen

Regarding weather on the home screen, has anyone had this issue, I live in the Arlington, TX area, my home screen indicates Arlington for weather, but which Arlington city I'm not sure. I defined my city and it indicates two cities on the weather page however Arlington, TX is not the default. My EVO will not allow me to rearrange, set automatic update, set update schedule or delete the default Arlington city. The delete list only shows the Arlington, TX entry which I defined.

Any clues?

It sounds like the normal my location has you in Arlington, TX, is that not correct? If so then just delete the one you added (The only one you can delete), and you would be left with the my location option. (Since this has you in Arlington, TX it will show Arlington, TX.

Also has anyone been able to figure out why the weather app is only showing my location, instead of your actual location?

I just got my new evo yesterday from Sprint.com and I have it setup how I would like everything, so I really don't want to clear storage reset it, and I do have gps and Use GPS satellites under location in settings?

Any other ideas?

Edit: I fixed it by: Menu > Settings > Location > Use Wireless Networks to On.
Then Updated the weather on the home screen, then went back to use wireless networks and turned it off.
