Media volume

I have noticed that my media volume keeps turning off for no reason. i have an app called drivesafe.ly installed which pointed me to the problem. every time i receive a text or call i cant hear it spoken to me. I go into settings and check media volume and sure enough it is set to off or zero. what could be causing my media volume to do this? it is a pain to have to go into settings and change all the time. has anyone else had this problem?

Re: Media volume

I just looked up driversafe.ly and they don't seem to offer a lot of support in terms of telling you about troubleshooting do they.

I bet you a bag of donuts (yes, shut up, that's really an expression), that it's some other application that plays music or something that is interfering. Does the device shut off after a set period of time or is it still on?

What's the screen timeout?

the device does not shut off. i have to manually turn on media volume at least once a day. i dont play music on my phone or any other audio applications much. this is very strange to say the least and making me nuts!

Re: Media volume

Interesting problem, while I don't happen to have this problem with my phone, I wonder if there is a widget that can change just the media volume by itself. I hate having to wait for the volume to be on so I can use the hardware buttons to adjust. I want to be 100% app dependent!

Re: Media volume

Have you flashed a new ROM? Is it Stock? I'm asking to eliminate issues that may have arisen because of unforeseeable ROM issues.
