Drop test!

YAY! yesterday, less than 48 hours after buying the phone my son (2 years old) dropped my EVO! Happy to report NO issues... I was amazed. We were at dinner and it dropped off the restaurant's table (probably 3 feet). Had a good bounce to it too, but landed on it's back thankfully. I noticed no crack or even impression on the corner it hit and bounced on, camera did fine, android had no issues... everything looked unchanged! QUITE PLEASED with the build quality! it has no screen protector on it or any case yet, so I FREAKED when I saw it fall. Love my son, but my wife quickly grabbed him and distracted him while I freaked out and ran after it.

BTW he was playing toddler lock (best thing ever!) and it slides everywhere stock on the table... getting a case tomorrow, he isn't allowed to touch it until then haha, I might get that bestbuy warranty afterall

That's terrifying, but glad to know it survived.

Totally how I am about my phones...ahha...like how you quoted that....Good to hear the Evo is durable...one other guy in the forum dropped his got a few scuffs but was happy with the results...his was dropped from a bit higher than yours...and on concrete...

Good to hear your baby is alright :)

Hopefully there isn't any damage you can't see. Both my TP and TP2 had terrible quality plastic around the bezel and a soft drop on carpet caused huge stress cracks a few months later.

My gf dropped mine while jumping up into my 4runner, seats being about five or so feet off the ground, onto the rock/dirt road while at the river. No damage, which surprised me since i don't have a protector our case either yet... Still waiting for my zagg to come in for the evo and ipad.
