Evo reboots on "acquiring location"
Hey guys, I looked around but didnt see this posted anywhere so I figured I'd ask. It seems whenever I click the default favorite for google on my evo, it brings up google, then says "acquiring location" and the phone will reboot. If i turn off the location feature, this problem goes away and the browser opens fine with no reboots.
Has anyone else experienced this problem before? I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed somewhere else. |

I'm also having this same problem. Every time my phone attempts to use GPS it reboots...I basically can't launch google maps and that's a big negative. I've tried looking in other android forums but I can't find anything. Can anyone confirm that resetting to factory settings works?

Re: Evo reboots on "acquiring location"
Had the same exact problem. I verified that all of my info was backed up and then I did a hard reset. I read that task killers cause this problem with random resets and apps having to force close. Once I performed a hard reset and let Android manage my apps, I didn't have the problem anymore.
Follow these steps http://www.knowyourcell.com/htc/htc-...tc_evo_4g.html After the hard reset is done you wont have any more problems using gps anymore. |

Yeah, the clear storage helped, thanks! That sort of sucks though, I was using ATK to save battery life...oh well. |
