A couple differences between Google I/O phones and retail

I've had a Google I/O Evo for about 2 weeks now and just picked up my retail Evo today. I noticed a couple differences right away.

1) Screen Color: The screen had less color saturation but more neutral grays than on the Google I/O phone. Retail screen also appears to have better contrast. The Google I/O phone had a blue push to it.

2) Backlight behavior: The Google I/O Evo would transition from bright to dim backlight when left idle while the retail Evo would immediately reduce its brightness without any transition.

Anyone else notice these? Any other differences?

I noticed my girlfriend's phone, a retail phone, has a pink hue to it whereas mine does not

Hmm..sounds like the screens can have a variety of tints. The backlight behavior on my Google I/O phone is definitely different. Also, when I check the hardware version of each of the phones, the Google I/O phone is version 0002 while the retail phone is 0003.

I'm pretty sure you can change the backlight behavior.

My only problem is that the EVO Screen sucks when compared to my incredible! Good thing is my modded black keyboard work flawlessly on my EVO even tho it was made for my incredible!

Not all screens are exactly the same. LCD's aren't perfect.
