was talking on my phone and had it chaging via usb, went to the app store and was looking for something and the screen stayed black after a few times. and then the sensor would not trip.

i had to pop the battery out to get it to come back on

No issues here thus far and ive been power using the hell out of mines today lol

I got this same black screen when looking something up in the market also. However I waited it out and then it corrected itself and brought me back to the home screen.

Some Market apps mess up the Evo, or clash with other apps. I can't remember which ones

I have the same issue. Mine has been intermittently stuck on a black screen for the past few hours...

This is going to be a interesting thread to watch, I am tempted to get a EVO but for the first few months of this forum I think will make that choice for me whether or not I get one.

Make sure you be careful on some apps. Some require the phone be rooted in order for them to work. Keep this in mind.

I'm waiting till this winter for my upgrade to decide if I want a new phone or wait till next year.
