Re: Hotspot software: What happens if you run it

im on vacation in chicago where 4g is available. from what i have been reading, it seems like the hotspot will only work when 4g is active. for example: i had 4g off and got an error code 67 when hotspot was activated on 3g, but on 4g is connects. actually im on 4g hotspot right now. i have a shitty 4g reception but im still getting good speed. can someone who does not live in 4g area turn 4g on and see if u can connect via hotspot on 3g network. thanx

Re: Hotspot software: What happens if you run it

I tried the 4G in a non 4G area and still getting the error 67 when trying to connect. Under the Sprint Mobile Hotspot when its checked it says No mobile Network, WTF!!!

My netbook can connect to the phone, just no network to work on.

Re: Hotspot software: What happens if you run it

I am running a stock ROM (not rooted) and when I try the hotspot on 3G I get the same error noted above. But when I enable 4G (and connect to 4G) the hotspot works.

I am not presently paying the $30 hotspot fee and read somewhere that the ability to enable 4G hotspot without the $30 plan is a system limitation on Sprint's side that will be resolved in the next few weeks.
