Thanks

Radio Shack had problems pulling up my account on Launch Day, but Best Buy had no problems pulling it up and adding the EVO. They also had no problems with the Pre either. The Sprint store had problems with my EPRP account last year when I went to add the Pre they switched me to a regular account then I made a phone call and got switched back. So so far the only retail place that had no problem activating on EPRP is Best Buy.

So the cheapest EPRP plan to put a Evo on is $69.99?

I had a EPRP for a while now and I was told by Sprint I could use it with the Evo. I activated the phone at BB without any issues, now when I check my account it was Everything data plan $69.99 plus $10 data fee. WTF?? I emailed customer care about it and this is what they told me in short.

As per the account detail it shows that Everything Plus Referral plan
was activated on your account. which was not compatible with HTC EVO 4G
phone. With HTC EVO 4G handset only data plan will be activated, as
this handset is designed in a manner that supports only data plan.

Moreover, you will require to have a minimum of $69.99 data plan with
$10 premium data fee for the handset to be active. which is activate
with HTC EVO phone now on your account

I am about to call retentions right now because as much as I love the phone im not going to pay $10 more on my plan AND a $10 data fee.

Hopefully they can track who sent you the e-mail since it's totally wrong. "not compatible with HTC EVO 4G." Oh yeah, then why do they have it for sale on the EPRP site. ](*,)

Unless you get a discount on your EPRP (which is difficult to get), if you're eligible for a 15-27% discount on your plan, it's cheaper to go with the ED plans.

They can only enforce the deal you signed while at Best Buy if Best Buy's plan shows your eprp price and they don't change it back you could theoretically be out of contract.

I talked to retentions and asked to speak to manager and still no budge. Both insisting that the EVO is not compatible with the EPRP. But i found out that my wife (whos the primary account holder) is eligible for a 20% discount thru her job so it actually works out to be a few dollars cheaper if i stay with the $69.00 plan. so I took that. Im still kinda pissed about it tho

This has been discussed on other threads. Many Sprint Employee Care reps told me that anyone on any kind of Empolyee plan or employee referral plan are not eligible to get the phone till July. Not sure if someone has gotten away with it or not. But that could be why you had issues.
