micro usb not mini!!!

Hey guys.. just thought I should warn those that dont know that the Evo has a MICRO usb port not mini! I didnt know this so didnt buy a new car charger because I already have like 5 from previous tp1 and tp2's only to find out that its a micro. I wouldve thought HTC would choose one format and stick with it :(

*sigh*..its only been said on this board many times, both that it has it and the reason why it has it. Micro USB is the new standard.

it's the new standard b/c of of the UK I read somewhere, It's now a requirement that all cell phones sold in the UK conform to micro... really stupid if you ask me b/c now all manufacturers will be going to it in order to sell in UK, and MICRO SUX! my wife has had micro on her palms and they break constantly (in the phone) and she has to get a new one and argue over the fact that it just sucks, they keep blaming her for dropping it etc... if you have to charge these thing 2-3 times a day b/c the battery life sux, there is no way that little micro clip is going to stay alive in the phone for 2 years

Unfortunatly it's the new standard. something about how many unplugging's it now supports is like 3x what the mini usb plug would allow. Also it was something about taking the stress off of the connector on the phone, and moving it to the plug so if the plug breaks, you get a new charger or usb cable, not a new phone.
