Google Sync DOES do the calender too
 

maybe this is known but I read others cant get it working. I was getting a error when trying to sync my calender. contacts were working fine. went to https://www.google.com/calendar and signed up, (just let it verify your name, time zone ect) and click OK and I waited a minute and tried to sync my calender on my phone and now it works. got my contacts AND calender sync'd with google. Evo will be here in a few hours :)
