Evo Outdated

so I thought today would be appropriate to announce why the Evo is outdated already on launch day.

actually its been bugging me for a while that it comes with hdmi. now all our custom htc video cords (& tv's) are worthless. besides composite video has enough resolution, just not 16:9.
while the mini hdmi might be around a while, who wants another cord for a device that never leaves our side. the big question is who will get or one up intel's WiDi. I'm thinking that since intel's been making macs for a bit now, they may get it first. although I could see WiMax including this functionality down the road...

this has been deep thoughts, by.. lol

Re: Evo Outdated

The simple fact is just about every phone and network in the US is pretty much outdated.... we got lazy and fell behind in technology. Most companies got caught up in revenue earnings so they could bolster the stock price and take home a little more come January and February in bonus checksNow we are playing catchup and I can accept what we currently have in technology. 4G is new for the US and we have to work with it....

dude fail just fail... composite is old... get over it i havnt used a composite cable for anything but sd because it can only crank out 720 and i prefer hdmi because its less space to consume. ok you lost the value of 40$ in cables big deal. i made my own for my tp and i had to spend 10$ on a cable for this which i dont need to jimmy and it will go into a standard port or i can just get the dock

THIS POST = MASSIVE FAIL

By your reasoning the every phone is outdated. The EVO is far beyond anything available right now save for the incredible. How can the most current technology be outdated if it dont exist anywhere else? :violent2:

Composite video cable (Yellow) can only do 480 resolution
Component video cable(Red,Green,Blue) is capable of carrying signals such as 480i, 480p, 576i, 576p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p, and new high definition TVs support the use of component video up to their native resolution.

I have 2 HDTV's and neither have HDMI inputs.

But as far as the OP saying this makes the EVO outdated, it actually makes your TV, including mine, outdated!
