Non-preorder customers

For those who haven't preordered the EVO yet, what time are you planning on camping out your local Sprint store?

Re: Non-preorder customers

I was planning on camping out around 5am because telesales won't be selling them until tomorrow which means Monday delivery. Unfortunately for me, I now have a meeting I need to attend tomorrow at work so I can't come in super late like I had planned.

I went to the Sprint store during lunch and spoke to a girl there that said they open at 8am. She wasn't sure how many they had coming in, but she said she would call me 1st thing in the morning and let me know. I'm just down the street from them and they're never really busy so I might get lucky. I can just run over after my meeting and get my phones. We'll see. [-o<

Re: Non-preorder customers

Telesales told me they would start taking orders at 12am eastern. I called the EPRP # by the way. Dont know if it has to do with time zones or plan types cause others reported 4am on the west coast. Im not sure what to do. Maybe Ill drive by at 4am and see if anyone is camped out.

Re: Non-preorder customers

I had planned on getting there around 6am, but I wondering if that'll be soon enough with all the hype. Fortunately for me I don't have to be at work as early as usual so I hope to wait in line and still make to work on time

Re: Non-preorder customers

I will not be camping out....I will go to two BB that are near me and see if I can make some magic happen! If that does not work then I will just go to RS.

Telesales told me I could call when they open. The guy I spoke to said 4am PST because they handle Eastern calls too.
If it's midnight or 4am, it won't make a difference. They give you free overnight shipping, but that does not include Saturday delivery so I wouldn't get it until Monday. Someone in another thread mentioned you might be able to pay extra for Saturday delivery, but for right now, I'm going to try my luck w/ the Sprint Stores. I have 4 corp stores I can hit after work.

Re: Non-preorder customers

I talked to a rep at the my local store yesterday and they said they expect it to be a big deal. So I doubt I'd be lucky enough to get one after work and places such as BB and RS are only getting a limited supply (like 10-15 phones) to sell to non preorders

You guys, FOR THOSE THAT HAVE NOT PRE-ORDERED, call Radio Shack ASAP!

I pre-ordered the Evo the first day I could. My friend never did, he called Radio Shack 10 minutes ago and they guaranteed him a phone at 6AM. He will get his phone before me.
They will hold the phone for 2 hours.
The Radio Shack near my area received alot of extra phones and are holding phones for people.

Just to help you guys out. Good luck.

Re: Non-preorder customers

Well I just took a drive out to the sprint store to see if anyone was out there and luckily no one was but the sprint employees were still in the store. Look like they were getting ready for the morning rush. Anyway I will probably go back at around 4am to see if anyone is there camping, if not then I might just go back home and come back around 6am and just stay till they open.

i talked to my local sprint store about a week ago and they said they were opening at 7am, the girl sounded a little hesitant so hopefully it is actually at 7 and not 8 (i have to be to work at 8!). so i will be there around 6:30. if they're not open at 7 there's a RS a few blocks down and i will give them a shot so hopefully i can make it to work on-time.

My local BB up here in the Kansas City metro area told me today they had 80 in stock, but they were all pre-orders. I'm in no rush though...

I hope its 7am. I had 3 people at my sprint store tell me 8 and I had another 3 tell me 7 but the last girl I spoke with sounded pretty confident and even put me on hold to double check with the manager.

Thats the nice thing about living in a small town. Its not that big of deal where I live so I could go after wrk around 6pm and still have some left over.

I work 3rd shift and am already up @ 6am... I won't be camping out @ the Sprint store... instead, I'll hit my local BB first thing after they open @ 9am, and if for some reason I luck out there, I'll head to the RS that's close to the BB, which opens @ 9:30am :)

There is no EVO, this is just all a dream I am having. You are all just characters in it. Sure, you may argue that you had a life before the internet and before you ever heard of me. But that is just how I am dreaming you to think. When I wake up, you all disappear. So if you want to enjoy the EVO for a while, you'd better hope I don't wake up soon.

Well here at my sprint store in south atlanta and there are about 11 people in line right now. Damn, there is even a lady with her two young kids. Whats weird though is that there are only 3 guys in line and about 9 women.

edit: damn, there alot of women starting to drive up. There are now about 20 people in line now about 4 guys and 16 women.

that many of u guys are actually doing the "black friday" thing on this... cool.
i knew it was gonna be big... but that much big... its not like they giving it away for free.
im sticking with with it getting delivered on monday... maybe jmz would have a kitchen ready by then.
i think me like most of u guys never stick around on anything "stock" for more than a day.the sooner u get it the more time "stock" will stick around... thats my logic on it... but u guys must really like your toys. cool.

Some of us who have had it for a week or 2 are getting ready for the next greatest phone lol j/k

On a side note, I saw someone post about his brand new TP2 in that forum a day or 2 ago, just in time for many of us to abandon that forum. Soon it will be like trying to get an answer about your new Apache
