Just came from radioshack and they said Sprint gave them a total of 69,000 units all of which had been sold out thru preorders.

Also the shack is setting up time slots for evo pick up just like bb so reserve ur spot...

I called my RS again, they said just show up whenever, if you pre-ordered, your good as long as you pickup within 48 hours. Of course, the store I went to is pretty low traffic with less than 15 pre-orders, I could see a busier location wanting to schedule.

That said, I'm impressed they sold that many units through RS. I think this phone is going to have some solid sales numbers off the bat.

Yep,I think it has more to do with the traffic of the particular store.I just called mine and I was told to come whenever I want to on Friday or Saturday.

well if anyone is in Hawaii they might still have one as i canceled when i got mine early a couple days ago. RS in pearlridge

bad info then, 3 shacks in pa(Harrisburg)have extras to sell as of sunday.

It is not bad info. The pre-orders are all sold out at every radio shack. However each store is getting between 3-6 extra phones for stock to sell for non preorders. These extras are probably what your radio shacks were referring to.

Yes very bad source my RS has double the order of pre-orders. :-s

I went to radioshack today to see the evo and ask about pre-order or extra phone availability on the morning of release and the manager was so obnoxious that I went to best buy and preordered without any issues. He trashed android, had to be talked into getting out the evo sample they had, and basically was a jerk throughout.

Way to promote the products you sell in your store. :confused2: What a cheeseball. You should write Radio Shack corporate HQ and tell them about your experience, and that you went to buy your phone at Best Buy thus costing them a sale. Maybe he'll get an earful.

The radio shack I went to is a low traffic one and they're opening at 6AM instead of their normal 10. I got an 8AM appointment slot, I am excited for the phone but not enough to go get it at 6 lol
