Don't think that will happen. I think sprint maintains a good network from my experience and they will use that NEW incoming revenue to increase their network's capacities to compensate....hopefully lol

agreed!!

i've talked to avg. people from college, work, ect... and only 2 people knew about the evo, and they are both techies like myself.

Thats my point. Not everyone knows about it....Like think about these games that come out every year around the same time...Madden, Do they have commercials getting more buzz about the game? Yes. Call of Duty..There is a new one coming out in what November an ive already seen commercials about it. Its just smart to adv. on TV because you can reach more people. It's smart business people.

I've seen a few commercial here locally I think it has to do with the area they will advertise in 4g areas where I am its been on the paper and ads for bb and rs for a while here on Houston

I think what got the Pre the most was the plans. That was the first phone that required the everything plans, and most customers were not willing to switch until they realized that all new phones will require those plans. By that time, the Pre became old news.

Wasn't the Samsung Instinct the first to require everything plan?

I think there is a tech buzz for this phone but the average consumer knows nothing about it.. I can probably count on 1 hand how many people I know who are aware of this phone.. And 2 of those people are people I told.. Sprint needs to take a cue from Verizon, when the Droid came out I seen ads weeks before with the whole "Droid Does" campaign, everyone seen them and knew what the Droid was.. Same with the Incredible, I see advertisements for it all the time even though no one can really get the phone at this time.. And people keep saying they arent advertising because they know they will be out of stock, I say thats even better.. For whatever reason people want things that are limited.. It would make the buzz bigger if some people had to wait to get it

Yeah, that was Nintendo's strategy. They knew by shipping just enough units to sell out and keep demand high it would increase their overall sales figures. People really do seem to want to buy things more if they're hard to get.
