I just ordered my EVO and I am really concerned with battery life.
1.) Does anyone know of a registry editor and a fix for battery life? I was told of some work with other HTC phones.
2.) Also any recommendations RE other batteries which I could purchase to squeeze more life for the phone?
3.) Will Android 2.2 make a difference in battery life or only in speed?

Yes and yes

Got to play with a brand new Evo today... Start up is fast.
 

Opened the box.
Put in the battery.
Started it up.

First start up booted up faster than my TP2 does from a soft-reset. I was in heaven. That is all.

YouTube was surprisingly great over 3G too but then again my 3G coverage is NEVER spotty. I had a smile the entire time. Felt like I was a little school girl :oops:

Snapdragon, believe it or not, isn't the primary reason it's booting up faster. Just sayin'

I just hope we don't see the dead pixel issue with these screens like we saw on the TP2....Haven't heard anyone mention it yet, so I will keep my fingers crossed!
