Video calling?
 

Will it work with 3G? I have preordered at RS and was thinking of getting the wife one also, if the video calling works on 3G. Im near Toledo Ohio and not sure when 4G will be here.

NOPE... only on 4G..

you 2 still can use the qik app with each other and that will feel just like a vid call

I believe I will only have 3g for awhile here too (Dayton, OH).
Isn't the qik app the only video calling app?
Is there other applications (skype, etc??) that can also use the video calling technology?? (cell phone to computer by chance or vice versa??)

qik isnt a video calling app... its a live stream app... theyve only recently added the support for forward facing cams... so two people can stream together.. like cam2cam.. youd have to text them and tell them to get on im sure.. you cant "call" them from qik..

and skype, i dont know.. i dont have an EVO yet, nor a 4G market to toggle it on and off in to see if it works... maybe one of the Google I/O owners will chime in

skype isnt related to devices usually, but i assume can be(much like google earth on mobile is limited to the Nexus, Droid, and iPhone only).. something like skype is usually supported by the carrier and/or platform...

Verizon might have skype on android because skype and VZW are partners now.. but doesnt mean its available to any android device...

have to wait and see or have a evo holder chime in
