I wonder if they also did this to show you the great signal you get with 4G in the store, but different story when you in another building LOL

Anyone know how far this will reach? Are these the "standard" wimax antenna's or just a local broadcasting one... I'm approx 1.2 (mall radio shack) and 1.4 miles from the closest radio shack, and I'm unable to pick up 4g. Maybe when I'm out I'll go to the parking lot of it and see if I'm able to pull any signals...

same situation for me... im surrounded by radio shacks there 4
of them within 3.5 miles of my house... i heard that wimax has
crazy crazy long range (its like N router while regular 3G would
be equvilant to a G or B router.) I dont know the exact range
though on top of that just because I live next to a bunch of
radio shacks doesnt mean they all or even any will have WiMax

Guys these are only being installed in Shacks in cities that already have WiMax I assume because they are repeaters therefore they need a signal to repeat. A look at both Clear and Sprint WiMax coverage maps shows zero coverage in California

I did a little research after finding the model number on the repeater. It has a max range of 2.4 acres.
