1 step ahead you are correct but still why bother looking for flaws i love the phone i want to enjoy not hate it lol

Re: EVO 720p Video Sample

looks great for a phone camera in good light, but i bet it takes up a lot of memory recording in 720. horrible in low light, absolutely horrible... enough to prevent me from wanting to use it indoors under low light. u can't expect much though... it's a phone. if it gave 720 recordings like we would like, the price would be so much higher.

Re: EVO 720p Video Sample

I've actually used way worse video recorders. So this is actually going to be a nice change of pace.

Re: EVO 720p Video Sample

I never expect the moon and the stars from phone cameras but that was not impressive at all. It's just above average for cell phone cams. It's okay but calling it HD is a bit of a stretch. Not every thing that's stretched out to 720 is HD.

Anyone seen the video sample from the new Nokia N8? Now that's HD. 'tis like night and day compared to this.

Re: EVO 720p Video Sample

Sensor size and lens quality make a lot more difference than the number of megapixels. I have a 1 megapixel Kodak from the late 90's that no camera phone can touch

Re: EVO 720p Video Sample

No doubt. I would take a 3mp sensor that's 30% larger over the 8mp one they are using anyday. If the EVO does as good as the Samsung Impression i had last year with stills I'll be satisfied. Was very disappointed in my TP2 cam (big improvement without the batter cover on tho..lol)

Re: EVO 720p Video Sample

you guys shooting vids, whats the file size for a 720 vid??

im thinking you wont be able to send any of your friends a 720p video because the size would easily be over 500-1000k -which is the default size limit for sending/receiving MMS on most carriers devices..

anyone up for the task??

make a post with like:
10sec = x size
20sec = "
30sec = "
60sec = "
all in 720p and put the filze size to each.. (obviously we dont need to see the vids, just make a little table for us to look at)

..thanks in advance if you do

yeah see, you can only email those, which will take awhile to email lol no MMS with those for sure...

now they need a camera profile swticher lol... if its a vid your gonna wanna send to friends on their phone your gonna have to change the settings before even recording..then if you want something in 720p, remember to change the settings back
