i know for my gurls android phone (g1) i had to dl a task manager app from the market .. some were free some cost but the free one works fine. without it she would wonder why her phone was slow, as the same issue arised for 1 a my friends g1s ... with that said do we have to also for the evo or is it built in ? i ask for the reason of wanting whats best & highly recommended for the phone if it isnt built in. so many friggan apps on that market its nuts

task killers are not built in. advance task killer by ReChild is a good one and its free. it also has a widget, by far the best task killer imho

i don't know who told you that lie. You just have to make sure you use your task manager correctly. For instance if i have a home weather widget and i want it to update properly i have to add the weather widget to the ignore list, if not the task killer will kill the widget and the time will not update along with the weather, thats just one example.

It's a real heated debate in another forum whereas Incredible owners are experiencing freezing & lockups while using a task killer

Re: task manager ?

here is one perfect example. those people are all trippin and may not have their setting set up correctly. I've been using a nexus one since January or February and i doubt that device is any different. If i want to play homerun battle 3d, this is an intensive memory and processor hog. If i don't use an app killer before i play that game it will lag. I've used all task killers and there is no negative effect.
