Re: Evo Demo Phone at Best Buy

I love Android. I can't wait to see where it goes from here. I love how people get it because it does what they need and want it to do, instead of the iPhone, where people get it because it's "cool" and has "so many apps" (yay). Apple is the aesthetics mastermind of the electronics industry, and they sacrifice a lot of functionality to get that way, along with being a severely closed system. I hope they fall and fall hard.

Re: Evo Demo Phone at Best Buy

My next greatest challenge is to see if I can convert my friend to Evo. He's the biggest Mac fanboi ever. While not using mac for work, he thinks that Apple farts rainbows and shits icecream. Anything that created by Apple should be worshipped. Has a beat-up iPhone 2G and thinks that iPhone in general is a gift to humanity from God, since it has tons of apps and games. Yet he doesn't use most apps he bought.

To me, I think Android will eventually take over iPhone OS. Maybe not this year, probably next one. And I am here to help at least with 1 device I will be getting for myself. And I love the fact that people are excited to even see the mockup.

Re: Evo Demo Phone at Best Buy

yep..bestbuy does have "mock phones" available. I loved it! Now I know the feeling of holding an HTC Evo.. it's amazing... the feel, design, and specs of the phone are apparent, and I can't wait for the real thing! I compared the weight of the phone with my TP2, and it was the same. The size of the phone felt good in your hands, and the screen was enormous! The kickstand was my favorite! oh, btw.. I recorded the whole thing...here ya go.. recorded with my TP2, and quality isn't so great.

Although it’s nonworking, the BB Mobile Rep said that it’s close to the actual weight of the real phone. If so, I like the weight, it feels a lot better than the HD2. I took some photos using my TP2 and tried to do a video as well. I never understood why all of the videos we’ve seen show the phone so close.

Well while trying to take video, the phone is so big that it just feels up the whole camera. I had to extend my arm all the way out so it wouldn’t look like I was filming right on top of the phone. Anyway, check out the photos and video.

Maybe some of your BB's have demos on hand. The ones here weren't working, but atlest it gave me a general idea of the size and feel.
I would hope it would by the camera a drink first!!!!
