Speakerphone

One of the most impressive things about the Touch Pro 2 is the speakerphone (with HTC's Straight Talk technology.)

The HD2's speakerphone is terrible in comparison. To everyone that's had a chance to play with an EVO, did you have a chance to try the speakerphone? I know there is no mute button, but I'll happily trade that for the dual LED's. I just want a quality speakerphone.

Along the same lines, hows the speaker (on the back of the phone) for volume? With such a great screen, I hope the speaker is loud enough (without distorting) to be useful while watching videos.

Thanks

Im not specifically sure as I have not handled to phone yet but the speculation I had was that it wasnt going to be as good as the TP2.

I meant to ask this question as well. Your right the HD2 speakers suck in comparison to the TP2. Im hoping it will be better.

Re: Speakerphone

I read in a thread here or at XDA that the speaker was very loud and impressive. That was for music/video, but the speakerphone will obviously use the same speaker.

Re: Speakerphone

wonder if it will have the same feature as my TP2 that when flipped on its face it automatically goes into speaker phone.....

Love the TP2's external speakers. I hope the EVO's aren't crappy. It would be such a waste if they skimped on the speaker hardware on such a high end device.

There is an app in the marketplace that turns your phone into speaker mode when it is turned upside down or laid flat, and returns to normal when you pick it up. So even if HTC didnt put this feature in, you will still have it on launch day.
