Evo Swype?
 

A sprint employee told me the Evo would ship with swype, I was just wondering has anyone else heard anything on this? I knew there was a trial, and a apk file was floating around for it. I just wanted to know if I need to bring in the apk file with me on june 4th.

Awesome, I was actually wondering the other day if I would be able to find Swype for the phone. Nice to know it's coming all ready for me as-is.

The Evo seems to be shipping with a keyboard called Shapewriters. Alot like Swype but i think it is a little better.

My good friend is a store manager for sprint.

He told me the model that they have at the store and are training on DOES NOT have swype.

Thats probably a model that was given to them before Sprint/HTC decided to include Swype...Even so...it's readly downloadable on the web.

Tell him to go into keyboard settings and see if he can enable another input.

these are the sywpe files I have that I believe will work with the evo when it comes out. It couldnt hurt to have these on your sd card :) black is black, blackish is a dark grey, and pink is for the ladies :)
