Can EVOs Sense UI use HTC and Android widgets?
I have seen a few videos showing off HTCs widgets, and I was wondering, do you have to disable sense to use the standard android widgets??
I know its a rookie question... but I am new to droid coming from Win Mo... |

I believe you will have two option for widgets, one will say widgets and one will say HTC widgets. No need to turn off sense, at least I think that's how the hero was when I had it.

I have Sense on my Hero and can use HTC and normal Android widgets no problem, so I can only assume that they did the same with the EVO.

You can use both htc and android widgets on sence but... Only android widgets on standard android ui.

Re: Can EVOs Sense UI use HTC and Android widgets?
i wish you could disable sense ui and still use htc's widgets... sometimes, i just don't want that dumb phone button there... i'd prefer the app launcher in the middle and phone button on the left... i'm guessing, or at least i'd hope, that this can be changed through custom roms or something

Re: Can EVOs Sense UI use HTC and Android widgets?
Thanks to everyone... I might actually be disabling Sense myself.. I dont like the big screen wasting button along the bottom... Id rather have more background in that space... even if I cant physically place things there...

Crooks... according to that article all the really happens is it diables the Sense home screen. It says HTC optimizations still are applied, so can we use the Androind home screen layout with HTC widgets?? That would be perfect!!
