Upgrade Question

Please delete if this has been posted.

I'm a bit confused right now.

I have a family plan right now. The line that I want the Evo on is currently in a contract that is ending in November 2011. But, that same line is also eligible for the $150 upgrade.

Now my question is, is that can I buy the Evo for $199 in Best Buy if I choose to upgrade my phone on that line? (I don't care if I have to resign for another two years.) I went in to a Sprint store asking this, and they said yes. But I remember that when I went into Best Buy a while ago to get the Hero, they said no. (I think they said I had to be out of contract.)

Soo, I was wondering if anyone knows.

If you are eligible for the $150 rebate, then you will be able to purchase the phone at the $199 price as long as you renew your contract!

If you have an available upgrade then yes you will get it at $199 by signing a new 2 year contract. Curious though. How do you have a $150 upgrade with a Nov 2011 end date?

lol.....well Sprint kind of messes up alot. When I upgraded a phone, they never re-signed me for another two years. So I got an upgrade price for the phone, without re-signing. This happened a while back, so both my upgrade and end of contract dates are separate.

Hmmmm.....that's what I thought too. But when I went into a Best Buy with the same scenario for the Hero, I was told that I could not.

Maybe I should tell the employees that it is possible if I have problems on June 4th.

Maybe it was the type of family plan you have. The Hero requires one of the Everything Data share plans.

No, I have the Everything Data Family plan. lol, that's why I was so confused at first. Maybe it was a new employee that didn't know what he was doing.
