Data Cap with Mobile Hot Spot

So if I get this Evo and decide to pay the $30/mth for mobile hotspot? Will I be able to use true unlimited data or is there a 5GB cap on it?

I would say you would have a 5gb soft cap, but I will check in to this one.

There will be a data cap when using 3g but 4g there is no data cap...same as the overdrive...at least thats what Dan Hesse said..and we all know how reliable he is

I remember reading that 4G will be truly unlimited and will not have 5G data caps.

does android have a way to tether without the 29.99 plan?

Not worth it for the casual tetherer to check a website or email a few times.

sprint always said that "phone as modem" has a 5gb data cap...so the hotspot when used in 3g should be no different.

That has always been a soft cap, we have seen users above that with no charge. I would assume that it is dependent on how much over how long you use it.
