Re: June 6th release date rumor
Yeah, I've played with the android port for the TP a bit. I'm nervous too but as long as there's an android version of my banking app and ereader I should be fine. Since my bank says they support the HTC Hero and ereader.com has an android version I suspect I'll be ok.
I'm more worried about the lack of a physical keyboard. That's why I went from the Diamond to the TP...that and the sd card slot. Then again, when my keyboard broke for the 3rd time I used the phone for a month or so without a keyboard until I got around to getting Sprint replace it. You get used to the OSK and the Evo has a larger screen so it should be better. |
Re: June 6th release date rumor
Does anyone know if the capacitive touchscreen will be plastic crap like the rest of the resistive ones? or will it be glass like the iPhone's screen?
Also, i'm trying to find sample photo and video files from the phone's camera. Links anyone? |
Re: June 6th release date rumor
The only capacitive screens I can think of that is made of plastic are on the WebOS phones (Palm Pre/Pixi). Hero, G1, HD2, iPhone, Moment, Droid, Droid Eris, etc all have glass screens. I don't see the Evo being any different.
