I keep reading both TFT and Amoled and now the link olimar posted said Amoled but all sites are different. But this said the on screen keyboard with Swype? I heard someone say in another thread they downloade swype and used it on there Touch Pro 2. What is it? I have a Touch Pro 2 and I am so used to the physical keyboard that I have been trying to get used to the on screen one. But it's hard and I know the EVO's will be bigger. But I was wondering me putting Swype on my touch pro 2 oif that would also help me get used to using the OSK? Touch Pro 2 was my 1st smart phone ever and now I can't wait for the EVO. My BB also said June 13th but I've read all over the 6th so I am betting the 6th. I do know they do Sunday releases.

swype is an on screen keyboard that instead of typing on, you draw lines on and the software deduces the intended word from the pattern drawn on screen as seen here:

its pretty slick, i was using it on my hero before i traded to a TP2 it works really well unless its a word that's not in the phone's dictionary then you'll have to type manually, and the version i was using you couldn't add a word to the dictionary from the swype keyboard, i had to switch to the htc/android keyboard to add the word, hopefully they've fixed that or i just missed it
probably going to be the best bet for entering text on the Evo

Ok thanks cause I thout one video or article said the EVO comes with Swype.. I don't know I just am worried cause I am so use to my touch pro 2 and having a physical keyboard. But I'll get used to it. All these cool APP I've been reading about I can't wait to get this phone.

i don't remember seeing that it comes with it although at this point i'd be surprised if it didn't, and even if it doesn't its not like you can't get it as an easy download

I just remember seeing a video I thought and it said onscreen keybaord with Swype. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't know if I'll be able to do it anyway LOL! I think I'll be better the normal way once I get used to it..

its not hard to use, you just have to make sure you hit every letter, to start with there were a lot of times i'd need a letter from the right side then the next was left then the next was right and i flew across the keyboard so fast that i didn't actually touch the letter i needed when i curved back to the right side, kinda throws off the word its guessing

i live very close to a sprint store is not a corporate store though.. i visited the store today and the sales person told me that the release date for the evo was June 5!!! when i ask the cost he hesitated and said we dont know it yet! i dont know if this is true but it sounded like he knew what he was talking about .. to me june 5 makes more sense the 6 because is a saturday, but who knows only time will till as a matter of fact will know for sure in two more days.

actually 6th makes more sense.....Sprint likes Sunday releases......
