Re: Htc Evo amoled display????
Very interesting find! I thought it was confirmed that it was not going to have amoled. This would be great news if it did! Longer battery life and a brighter screen!
Somebody has already started a petition to get amoled: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/amoled-evo-4g/ |

would make sens though considering if it is TFT then it uses more energy on such a big screen and nexus 1 already has amoled screen..but who knows...maybe its a typo.. |

Re: Htc Evo amoled display????
I have heard conflicting reports. Apparently the super amoled is very viewable in the sunlight but it depends on what they would throw into the thing. Many people online say that the sprint dev site is incorrect and HTC states that it will be TFT. Another thing that i have been reading is that amoled is not very good with text reading but it is great for video/pictures. I can only say what i have read from other users experiences though so i can't say for certain that amoled would actually be a better option at this time.

Re: Htc Evo amoled display????
At CTIS, they never mentioned AMOLED. Just 4.3" capacitive display. Journalists would have gone crazy if the screen was AMOLED. It's a typo.

Re: Htc Evo amoled display????
I am looking everywhere for the article stating TFT was confirmed however now i can not find it. I can find tons of second hand information on engadget and other sites like this but that isn't really a confirmation. There is one somewhere and if i find the link i will post it. I wouldn't expect to see amoled as it would have had more coverage like tokuzumi said.

Re: Htc Evo amoled display????
i dont think it will but im ok with that because what someone said at the top. there was an article about it on arstechnica about the n1 amoled screen.

Re: Htc Evo amoled display????
I have a Moment, and in direct sunlight it is VERY difficult to see the screen, at least for me it is almost impossible. I don't use my phone in direct sunlight often, in fact the only reason I know this answer is because I was waiting for my car to be washed and was trying to text, and was having a very hard time. I say why go AMOLED when you can go Super AMOLED!
