Re: Official Sprint HTC EVO 4G
Just got the email that 4G is now in Houston...so I cannot wait for this phone!
I read somewhere people aren't expecting it to cost out the behind like the TP2 cause its android...anyone think it may really go for $199 or at least UNDER $300-400? |
Re: Official Sprint HTC EVO 4G
I'm hoping pricing stays in check for this phone. Sprint wants this to be their halo phone, so they better not price it out of reach, otherwise they will piss off a lot of people. I plan on buying my next device outright, so if it's around the same price as the N1, I'll get it.

Re: Official Sprint HTC EVO 4G
If Sprint prices this phone any higher than $199 with a new contract/upgrade then they are some straight fools. If they price this phone right and market it the way they should they will see huge sales on it. But if they come with that $299 witha contract mess they can forget it. I know they have well priced plans but companies are dropping their rate prices now... tmobile especially and even at&t and verizon.
If they want to stay a factor then they need to price the phone competitively... I mean honestly I have no idea why Sprints tp2 is still so much more than everyone elses. |
Re: Official Sprint HTC EVO 4G
If the EVO debuts at $199, what will the Sprint Nexus be priced at (if subsidized)? Although I hope it's cheap, I don't see $299+ turning too many people off. Plan pricing is more of a factor than device pricing in the long run. Even though other carriers have dropped their prices, Sprint is still the cheapest. Besides, the specs on this thing blow everything out of the water at the moment. There are plenty of phones that are still around $199 that barely touch the EVO.

Re: Official Sprint HTC EVO 4G
People arent going to care about plan pricing.. theyre going to be looking at how much money they have to spend UP FRONT... one reason why Verizon sold so many more tp2's than Sprint did even though their plans are WAY higher.
