[THEME] NewEraGFx 3.1a for EVO-Deck & CM7[May 15 2011]
 
This is my very first theme so go easy on me. I have a lot of work to do but i thought i would release what i have for now and see what you all have to say.

I will be posting updates regularly so if you have a request or suggestion, feel free to post it and I will try my best to apply it to the latest build.

To install the flashable theme app
  1. Download the flashable Theme to your SD card
  2. Boot into recovery
  3. Format cache & dalvik cache
  4. Flash the theme in recovery and reboot
  5. Go to Theme Manager to apply the Theme


To install the theme APK only!
  1. Download the Theme to your SD card
  2. Browse for the Theme with your file explorer app
  3. Install the theme
  4. Go to Theme Manager to apply the Theme

Download NewEraGFx 3.1a APK Install file here DOWNLOAD

Download LauncherPro Theme Here: DOWNLOAD

To apply the LauncherPro Theme:
  1. Download the Theme to your SD card
  2. Extract the folder to the root of your SD card
  3. In Android click the Menu button and click Preferences
  4. Select Appearance Settings
  5. Select Dock Background and select Custom
  6. Browse for the Dock PNG file you extracted
  7. Note: you wont see the Dock change untill you reboot or force restart LauncherPro
  8. To apply the custom Icons, Long press each icon you wish to change and select, Change Icon>Custom icon>browse for the desired icons you wish to use.
  9. Browse for the Dock PNG file you extracted



UPDATE: 3.1a has 2 versions, one is flashable that includes fonts, bootscreen and Theme apk for theme manager.

Change Log for 3.1a:
New status bar
New icons
Changed a few things in the dialer

Change Log for 3.0:
Changed the notification background to blue transparent
Updated a few icons
Optimized lots of PNG files
New shades of colors and cleaner popup windows
Other minor tweaks

Change Log for 1.2:
Changed the notification background to semi transparent
Changed some icons
Cleaned up some PNG's
Changed some colors and buttons
Other minor fixes.

Tested on the following roms:
EVO-Deck 1.0 2.3.3
EVO-Deck 1.1 2.3.4
CM7 2.3.4 Nightly #72

This is a really cool theme. You did a good job. One thing I noticed is the 3G icons. When data is transmitted back and forth the icons move up and down. Also, the power control widgets overlap the green Android dude in the top right corner. When you drop down the taskbar and send it back up it shows faded in the background of the taskbar. Weird...Overall, its looking good.

Installed the 3.0 update and its looking good. The 3G icons still bounce up and down...Good work!

I get a "Sorry, this them is missing assets for your device's screen size" is that normal? Should I hit "Apply Anyway"?

Installed APK


Also, do i get the boot screen only if i flash the theme through recovery? or even with apk?

Also, the notifications drop-down menu, is there any way to change the color of the notifications or text? I can barely see the text. For one notification, the text color is grey, but for the others it's black so i can't see it. Thanks, looks good so far!

Edit: scratch that, did the flashable zip and everything looks good! Fixed all my problems!

I like it. The 3G icons dont move anymore. Good work. I like the layout all together. Only thing I dont care for is the keyboard. I dont like the honeycomb keyboard and the way the keys sit so close. I really like the status bar. I would change the color of the GPS icon though. It doesnt look good against the status bar.

I'm working on the keyboard for the next build, GPS icon looks like S**t lol It will be fixed in the next build too. I'm currently working on a new theme from the ground up, it will have new icons, colors, optimized PNG's and so on. I'll try to fix some icons in this build tonight. That GPS is killing it for me tho LOL

Great theme. One question is that why is my status bar blue now after flashing the latest version? Is there a way to make it black like in the images in the forum?

Sorry about that, the images is 3.0 and i keep forgetting to update the screen shots to 3.1a

Ok... so I'm kinda new at this. I installed the zip on the SD and flashed in recovery, but the only thing that changed was my font. I'm running gingerbread 2.3.3 kernel 2.6.35.10. Did I miss something?
