Root possible on Software Version 2.13.651.171?

Sorry. Don’t have net access right now to research thuroughly.

Is Root possible on Software Version 2.13.651.171?
I got 4G in the suburbs of the Chicago area.* Was in 4G twice on the date they announced it.
Ever since then, I can never hit 4G.* But 2 of my buddies who travel the same routes at the same time and are in the same places I am in always have 4G.*
and I am stuck in 3G at all times now.* Soft resets but no hard resets done yet.
Friend of mine took Sprint’s OTA Update on his Evo 4G LTE.* Took him from Original Software version 1.22.651.371 to Software Version 2.13.651.171.*

Can anyone confirm root still possible?
I thought about taking the update to see if it fixes my 4G problem.* And I like that the update separates multiple page text as 1 of 3, 2 of 3 etc.*

But don’t wanna take the update if I can’t root in future.

if you're already unlocked/rooted, don't take the OTA, instead flash a custom ROM.

if u do take the OTA, I think lazy panda does not work, but u can always use HTdev to unlock....I'm not sure if the original root method works on the new OTA

S-OFF is now possible on ALL HBOOTs. Well kind of, they have finally figured out how to downgrade HBOOTs. It's not easy and is pretty experimental right now but its possible

See this thread:
