I like amazon for some stuff, but I have had 2 really bad experiences with them. They took care of me in retrospect but the problems should have never incurred in the first place.

First: I bought a 1TB seagate internal HDD and was shipped a 500GB. Got RMA and shipped back for exchange. 3 weeks later...they sent me a 1TB Western Digital External HDD. Got RMA sent for exchange...2 weeks later received correct product.

Second: Bought an album for 5.99 and was charged 15.99. Went through extreme hoops to get my 10 bucks back. On top of that, all they did was give me a 10 credit and it took 3 months for them to apply it.

So Amazon is on my shit list.

are you sure the SELLER was "amazon"? you do realize most things purchased there are from third party stores?

Does anyone know when sprint will offer these in the store? I got 2 commuters for $47 just being a premier member with the buy 2 or more accessories get 25% off each accessory deal they have. I like the defender case but getting half off my bill sounds better. The stores don't know when stuff is coming, they just know when it arrives.

nah thats just the amazon link I posed earlier in the thread that says 1-2 months shipping. It might have changed, I havent looked.

Has anyone received one of these cases yet? I ordered mine today and would like to read some reviews and opinions about it.

Yeah, that sucks!! But get this....

I ordered it on Wednesday morning and recieved my confirmation email immediatley. Checked otterbox Thursday and nothing was listed in order history then checked bank account and it showed 49.95 on hold. Checked Friday and nothing changed. Checked Saturday and nothing still had changed. Yesterday (Sunday) morning, it had said shipped and that the shipping was -4.80 thus making it 44.75 total but in order details it said it hadn't shipped and my bank account had the 49.95 credited back to my running balance. MMMMM I thought. Well last night I checked otterbox again and it now says processing, not shipped, and they debited 49.95 out of my account. WTF???? lol

I ordered my case on Friday from otterbox, checked order history today and status says shipped and they also provided me the tracking number.

Ordered on the 10th and order status is still "Being Processed". Prodded them on Facebook for info and they said "We are sorry, your order has exported into our shipping system and is set to ship via priority." :cussing:

Just to give people a heads up with Otterbox. They are currently in construction with a new headquarters that will house their business office and shipping department. I found that this may be inhibiting shipping right now due to their transition. How do I know? My company is doing the electrical on the new building. Although I do find it odd as I said I can't get the damn things locally they are making attempts to expand and become better. So I will ride the wait out. No big deal. Worse case scenario,....I'll shut their damn power off..LOL :grin:

I just got mine today...Kinda sad to say Im not to impressed. But the belt clip is pretty nice

Just got mine.

This is much bulkier than the commuter series case. I mean, twice as thick. The rubber is grippy and it feels good in your hands. The case itself fits like a glove and fits tight n snug in the holster, but sad to say, the evo now doesn't fit in my Fortee leather custom case. Oh well.

I'm prone to dropping my phones and this will surely protect it. All in all, it's not worth the 45 bucks I paid but something is better than nothing.

Hell I live in the city they are made and I ordered mine on saturday and got it today.

As for the case, It is bulky but I actually like the design. The holster is a monster though. If 45 bucks saves this expensive phone than it is worth it IMO. Bottom line, It protects the phone and that is what the case is intended for. If anyone doesnt like the bulk then you bought it for the wrong reasons.

I finally received my case today, I am actually impressed with the case. I looks really good and I don't feel it that bulky compared to the defender I had for my blackberry bold 9650. The screen protector is actually great, and the fact that it has a plastic protector over the camera lens and l.e.d lights is awesome. The only thing I'm not to exited about is the kick stand, it feels sort of flimsy. But overall the case looks great, feels great, and offers awesome protection.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I didn't say that I didn't like the bulk. I just said it was much bulkier than the commuter series. Also, I think 45 bucks for ANY case isn't worth it, but I did say it will protect my EVO. IMO, I think the commuter series should be 19.99 and this case 29.99, considering the Trident cyclops is 26.99 at meritline. But 45 bucks for plastic and rubber is like paying 14.99 for a "hang on the rearview mirror" air freshner. LOL. But I'm satisfied with my purchase.

I had ordered mine on the 12th of Nov. and received it on the 16th. I dont like the fact that I have to keep re adjusting the edges on the phone to make it flush. Ive dropped mine a few times and it hits like a rock. Doesnt seem to protect as good as the iphone one. I dont think its too bulky and I think it looks nice. Over all Im happy with it. Just think the design could be a little better to hug the edges. It would also be nice if the hard plastics were not on the outside of the case.

Love my defender with one exception the kickstand broke the second day and before you ask no I didnt open it too far. I contacted Otterbox 4 days ago and still no reply

I am looking for something to provide temporary protection when I am out hiking or biking. I do not mind if it adds a bit of bulk. Is this case easy to install (including the screen protector) and then remove when you do not need the extra protection?

My kickstand has a big crack on it and is just about to break off anytime now. Case is nice but the kickstand sucks, I contacted otterbox yesterday and have got no response yet either.

Just to ease everyones mind on this. Since I live in the town they are made and my company is doing the electrical for their new building, I was able to look into this. Apperently this is not a huge problem but they are aware of the issue with the kickstands being cracked or cracking. What they advise is to call and WAIT for an agent to answer, do not have them call you back or leave a message. Once you get an agent tell them that your kickstand is cracked or breaking, give them your order number if you still have it and they will ship a replacement case to you immediately and you will not have to send back the defective, all free of charge. They did so for me after I saw that mine had cracked. As of right now there is no plan on changing the stand but they will guarantee replacement if it happens again. I agree the kickstand sucks balls but as long as they continue to replace it, I will continue to use it. Its a good case other than that IMO. And I dont use the stand that much either so if it does break I'm not lost, I'll just wait for the new one, lol

I called otterbox today to have my case replaced. I had the kickstand problem like others have had. They didn't hesitate to replace it. I also asked if they are aware of this problem they said yes, but since its a new case they are still looking onto the problem. They did admit thayt they have gotten a lot of calls about this kickstand issue.
