Can you plug any speakers in to the little box and play music through them over bluetooth? If so I will order because that is pretty cool. If not, then I dont see whats so cool about this...

Not too sure if I can use it like I want but I'm gonna buy it anyway...

EDIT: OK, Just ordered it. Can any one confirm if I can plug other speakers in to it instead of the headphones, and be able to play music through them over bluetooth? Thats what I'm hoping for :scratch: If not, they should collect dust beautifully!!

Should work... I have the Jabra BT3030 Dog tag which is the same concept and I can plug it into the input of any component and wirelessly transmit audio.

Example: I plug this into my home theater amp, sit back on the sofa with my phone and music streams through my surrond sound set up via BT... It is pretty awesome!!! It's nice for working out too... I can set the phone down somewhere and have this lightweight BT receiver around my neck... No bulky phone in pocket... I can also connect it to the car radio input and works the same as described above...

Got mine in today too. Went out for a bit after work and just got home. I have it charging up right now. Gonna test it out as soon as its done charging. The headphones that came with it look like the same ones they give away to every passenger on flights.....Little dissapointed there I guess, but I didnt buy it for that reason, plus I have a nice set of headphones to use if I decide to use it like that. I bought it to hook up to a set of computer surround sound speakers that are in my garage for when I'm working on cars. Or I may also use it with the laptop surround speakers in my bedroom, or even my home theater in the living room, that way I can have my Evo in my hand on the other side of the room and change songs without having to walk over the receiver where my Evo would normally be plugged in. Hopefully it does those things well, as that was/is my intent.

EDIT: Oh, and the little foam covers for the headphones ripped in to pieces when trying to put them on the headphones..:evil4:

Update: Mine is fully charged and has now been playing for about 20 minutes. AWESOME!!! Works just like I had hoped. Didnt even try the stock headphones for more than 30 seconds, I put them in my ear and they felt terrible so I tossed them aside. Tried it with my headphones of choice and they sounded great and volume was full, just like they were plugged in to the phone. Then, what I bought it for : plugged the bridge in to my laptop surround speakers and they sound just like my phone is plugged in!! I was actually surprised by how well it sounds. There is no loss of quality or volume at any time. Highly recommend this to everyone who could use it!! Just dont expect much from the headphones that come with it.....they are gargbage. (I really think they are the same headphones that Airtran gives you on their flights :grin:)

weird. mine had a staticy background noise to my music when i was listening through evo. i know it's my my earphones cuz i got ultimate ears and they sound great. maybe i'll test w another set of earphones and see how it goes.

I do! I have a legit hi-fi system and I basically live my life with it on.
Which means my phone is usually over in the corner connected with a short 5ft cable to my amps and receiver.
I'd be much easier to have the phone in the pocket and just the dongle on the hi-fi, no?

Do you think it would work well for this situation?
