Stumbled across this and was thinkng of ordering one for my desk at work. It's suppose to work with the Droid X so considering the similarities in dimensions I think it will work for the Evo...

Dimensions
Evo 4G: 4.8 x 2.6 x 0.5
Droid X: 5.0 x 2.6 x 0.4

Does anyone have any experience with this unit?

went to the website and it says it fits several touchscreen smartphones, but honestly? that thing looks very cheap and lightweight. to me it looks like a piece of packaging for electornics someone stuck some pads on.

I wasn't so sure I agreeed with you initially, thought this thing was made of metal with plastic over it, but you're right, ABS injection molded plastic. Not really sure what those prongs in front are for either. Seem very obtrusive.

Yeah, I know it's not that great looking but it's cheap and that's why I was thinking of getting one for my desk at work... I don't want to have to pay high dollar for 3 different mounts (one at home, one in car and one at work) so I thought this might be a good solution for work... Cheap and functional and seems as thought it should accomodate future phones as well... I'm still debating on whether to get one...

I think I'll send them an email with the Evo dimensions to get their input as to whether it will fit correctly...

You can get a nice looking charging dock, made for the Evo that will also charge an extra battery, for that price on eBay....

I have one. Evo fits great landscape, but DOES NOT FIT PORTRAIT. So close, but just doesn't work. Still like it, but ordered from them more for the right angle USB cables...

Looks like the ending pieces of plastic you get with 3.5mm hard drives.......
