PPCGeeks - Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5vi Noise Isolating Earphones w/ Microphone

Long title! Awesome earbuds!! I got them today from Amazon:

I picked them up for $69.99, but at ~$72 or whatever it has been fluctuating around is still a great deal.

Cable is very nice, not very prone to tangle. Ear pieces are marked, red for right, black for left; nice touch. Microphone is SUPER tiny, I was worried about this never having a headset with a mic before. We got my wife (who also has an Evo) the metro.fi 100 phones (~$35), the mic is a tad bigger, but still small. But the mic on the 5vi is super tiny and totally non obtrusive to your music listening.

The default ear gels were okay, fit pretty good, but sounded very flat and hollow; probably meaning they didn't give a very good seal. I tried the foam-type, much better seal and better bass.

While playing music push the control button once to pause, again to play, double-click to fast forward. I haven't tested any calls yet with this, but should be one click to answer and two to hang up. We'll see how that goes and how call clarity is tomorrow. I was wondering about the controls because just about every headset/earbuds with mic you see are advertised towards "iPhone", but they should work the same with just about any mobile phone or mp3 player, including our Android powered Evo.

My wife called me on her metro.fi's and sounded great, as if she was on her handset. Real world conditions will vary though.
