This one is $6.99 shipped - is should convert EVO's HDMI to a regular HDMI (female). You will need regular HDMI cable to connect it to your TV. or HDMI to DVI cable to connect it to a DVI input of your monitor.

Note: Compatible only with Mac computers with Mini DisplayPorts. This adapter does not support audio.

I got the one that fits from DealExtreme for $12.99 delivered. Works great.

This is the cable I bought. Gold-plated ends and appears to be well constucted, tested and it works just fine. Little more money than some others on ebay but it is 10 foot long, and that is why I paid the extra...just in case. I felt it was better to have it a little too long than to come up short sometime...

Almost hate to bring up an old thread but just wondering if these mini HDMI cables also allow the charger to plug in at the same time?

I have no problem fitting the two cables into the evo at the same time.

Wow, I wish I would seen this sooner, I would have saved you guys some cash :)

Heres a 6ft cable from monoprice for $4.69
For only $4.19 each when QTY 50+ purchased - 6ft 34AWG Standard Speed w/ Ethernet Micro-HDMI (Type D) to HDMI (Type A) Adapter Cable - Black | Micro-HDMI to HDMI Cables

And heres a 3ft version of the same cable for $3.50
For only $3.13 each when QTY 50+ purchased - 3ft 34AWG High Speed w/ Ethernet Micro-HDMI (Type D) to HDMI (Type A) Adapter Cable - Black | Micro-HDMI to HDMI Cables

These things were so cheap, I actually bought both the 3ft and 6ft versions. Keep the 3ft plugged into my TV, and I keep the 6ft cable in my backpack for when I travel. I plug my Evo up to the hotel TV and use the hell out of it :)

I am able to use both the HDMI and the USB jack on the phone at the same time with these cables, so I can charge my phone the same time I watch TV from it.

Monoprice also has damn good deals on USB Charging/Data cables as well. I think they are like 1-2 bucks.

Re: HDMI to micro HDMI?

Is there much impovement over using the skinny micro cable? I have a gold-plated 16' high dollar HDMI to go between the Laptop and the TV. Of course, the losses are minimal. When I port my EVO to the TV, it suffers but I assumed it was simply Frame Rate. Will I realize a significant gain, other than being able to sit on the couch?

Re: HDMI to micro HDMI?

You have to realize that HDMI is a digital signal. There is no "Signal loss" that will show on the display. You either have signal or you dont. Don't fall for the sales pitch that the high dollar cable will give you a better picture when buying HDMI. Its simply not the case.
